John V. Gamble, LPC, CCDVC, MAC, BCPC, PTSD 
President & CEO


Mr. Gamble is the proud President and CEO of P&G Counseling and Educational Institute where he and his dynamic staff provide individual and family counseling, individual assessments and therapeutic treatment to adolescent individuals, couples and families. Mr. Gamble has provided direct intervention via management for under-achieving and disruptive behavioral students and indirect services to parents, teachers, counselors, principals and other designated persons in the District of Columbia public schools.  He also provides intervention for cognitive behavior and goal oriented treatment for domestic violence, anger management, substance abuse, and social and educational adjustment, is a facilitator for domestic violence for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and conducts Critical Incident Stress Debriefing’s.

​Cynthia L. Jamison, Diplomate, MHS, LPC, LCADC, MAC, SAP, CCFC, CRAT, DCMHS 
Clinical Director

Cynthia Jamison has worked in the fields of mental health, alcohol and drug abuse and corrections for over 40 years.  She is currently an independent consultant for P&G Counseling and Educational Institute and is also the Clinical Care Coordinator for the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Therapeutic Services, The Better Way Program both located in Washington, DC. She was the past Program Administrator for The Interdynamics Inc., Therapeutic Community Substance Abuse Program located at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup, Maryland.  She was previously the Clinical Supervisor for the 28-Day Jail Based Substance Abuse Treatment Program at the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.  .


Scott C. Lastrapes, M.D.
Medical Doctor

Dr. Lastrapes has achieved an overabundance of accomplishments from attaining her M.D. from Howard University of the District of Columbia, her Masters of Public Health in Administrative Medicine from George Washington University and her BA in Zoology and Allied Sciences from Howard University.  Dr. Gillis currently provides psychiatric coverage and consultation to two multidisciplinary treatment teams and writes FD12’s, outpatient recommitment examinations, and financial assessment forms. 


Robert Barnes, PhD 
Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Psychiatric Social Worker 

Dr. Barnes has achieved a plethora of accomplishments from attaining his PhD and working for several years at the Federal City College now known as the University of the District Of Columbia.  He is currently an independent consultant for P&G Counseling and Educational Institute.  He has been a contractor for the Social Security Administration completing developmental assessments on infants, clinical evaluations, and mental status examinations. As Liaison with DC and MD Schools he has recommended children for level 5 placements and has considerable experience in residential placement of disturbed youth. His experience lends itself and exceeds qualifications for a School psychologist and counselor. Contact Dr. Barnes.


Vincent Jones, PhD
Psychologist

Howard Mabry, PhD
Psychologist

Robert Gavin, (ABD), LPC, ACADC, ICAADC, NCACII, DAPA 
Licensed Mental Health Counselor

​Mr. Gavin (ABA) is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Professional Counselor (APA), Clinical Advanced Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III with the District of Columbia Addiction Professional Consortium, Internationally Certified Advanced Alcoholism and Drug Counselor (IC & RC) and Masters Addiction Counselor (NAADAC). He is currently a PhD Candidate in Counseling Psychology. He holds a Master of Human Services degree from Lincoln University and a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree from the University of the District of Columbia; majoring in Accounting and minoring in Finance. 


Raunda Williams, Ed.D
Mental Health Counselor

Experience and proficient in counseling and developmental education.  Extensive expertise in responding to identifying student needs, promoting academic excellence, and engaging/motivation students from various perspectives.  Broad and deep knowledge of administrative guidelines required to implement counseling and developmental programs within an academic setting.  



Christopher F. Gray, M.Ed. 
Mental Health Counselor
Mr. Gray earned his M.Ed. in Counseling & Guidance from Howard University and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. He is currently earning his Certificate of Advanced Study in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University.  Christopher Gray has over 15 years of experience helping individuals working as a psychiatric rehabilitation specialist and as a high school and middle school counselor.  He offers personal, couples, family and group psychotherapy.   

​​Michelle Jackson, BHS, CPS, CFPS
Certified Family Peer Specialist 

Ms. Jackson is a Behavioral Health Services Consultant, Certified Family Peer Specialist and Psychology Major with distinct certifications from the D.C. Department of Behavioral Health to provide peer support services to adults, children and families in the community.  She is the Founder of Reasons to Hope Foundation & Executive Director of The District of Columbia Peer Support Association established in 2014 to offer and provide premier Integrated allied behavioral health products, non-clinical recovery support services.  Contact Michelle Jackson.
